Last November we took the girls camping for the first time. They absolutely loved it. They got to spend time with Grandma and Paka in the RV (which is always fun). Craig and Tanya were also there. We had a wonderful time. It was really nice to just spend a weekend in the outdoors. The night we got to the campground where Grandma and Paka were staying at in Ocala it was freezing. Paka hooked us up with a heater which made it nice to sleep out in the tent. The girls were loving every minute of this adventure. One of their favorite things was finding wood for the fire. We had to keep it going. It was the only way to stay warm.The only problem was that we weren't supposed to collect wood but rather buy it. Lets just say that by the time we left the campsite the surrounding area was pretty much clean. Craig and Tanya brought the head lamps and that in it of itself was cause to go hunting for wood in the dark.
On several occasion we got the fire going really well. A little too well. Craig almost burned down have the forest. We had s'mores and when the kids could no longer take it they snuggled in their blankets and slept the night through.
