Summer Time Fun!

We have been really busy this summer. We have made lots of new friends here in Orlando which is great but they have also kept us really busy. We have weekly pool days, movie day, and then just plain fun play date days. The girls have lots of friends to play with.


Last Thursday H.B.'s work had their annual resident retreat at Wiakiva Springs where we went cannoning. Last year we were also able to go swimming in the spring but this year since the retreat was not held inside the actual park we couldn't get in. We did spot a few turtles and about five baby alligators on our conning expedition. The girls did a great job of sitting still and Mae was able to sit with Mia in the cannon with out being restrained which made it more enjoyable for me.

We also spent the weekend in Bradenton where we decided to go kayaking on Lido beach. It was Karla's idea. We had a lot of fun. Once again the girls did great. We were out in the water for about 3 hours. Mia's favorite part was going through the "caves". We were able to kayak through some mangrove caves.


Everyone agreed that this was a great adventure.



This is Mae. She was having too much fun. So much so that she needed to take a nap right in the middle of our adventure. She may have started out with Daddy and Mia but then decided she needed mama.
