Playing Princess!!

This picture was taken at the Disney Store during a Minnie party they were having for the kids to promote the new Minnie movie in early April of this year. The little girls next to Mia are Emma and Makayla Wozniak are dear friends.

My little princesses love dressing up. What a fun time in our lives. These little girls have brought so much love to our lives. The little things they say and do on a daily basis enrich our lives and help remind us as parents that there is so much we have to learn. They are what help us stay humbled and grounded. They are the reason to do better and be better.

The following are just some of the things they have said to me recently that have made me laugh. Mia said this to me while at my cousin Mary's baby shower last weekend. Mia: "Mommy when the mommy takes a drink that is when the baby gets a shower right?" This is what Mae said to me a few weeks ago as I was placing her on a chair for a time out after she has scratched her sister in the arms to the point that she was bleeding. Mae: "I tell my daddy." She did this while crying of course. Mae is very vocal and for the most part I can understand everything she says. Now that she is two she is extremely emotional and very territorially. If you look at her in the wrong way she starts to cry. This is very much like having a teenage girl in the house only she is only two feet tall and still in diapers. She is still the most sweet loving little girl when she wants to be.
This picture says it all. On the verge of tears because uncle Goyo told her not to destroy his sand creation.

For the most part Mia and Mae get along well and play very well together. It makes it hard though when they each want to do something and the other doesn't want to go along with it. They are both very strong willed but some how have learned to share and compromise. I try to be as fair with them both and the rule usually is that whom ever had the toy first gets to play with it for a while and then shares it with the other no matter who it was.

Disney Trips and swimming our still at the top of the favorites list. Mia is now well on her way to being a swimmer and really enjoys the water. Mae also loves the pool and with the heat in FL it's probably the best option.

Easter weekend. Enjoying a swim with the cousins.
